Falling Skies' Espheni are down but not out.

'Falling Skies' Season 5: Promo Reveals Premiere & Finale Titles, What's Next For The Masons?

Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) and Lexi closed out season 4 in space, earning a Pyrrhic victory as they teamed up to take down the alien's lunar powerhouse. The Espheni, however, are anything if not adaptable, and the overlords will devise a new battle strategy to cope with their losses.

"As we know, the power core is down so that is going to affect the way that they attack us," actor Drew Roy (Hal) explained to Whedonopolis. "So they change up their tactics and we actually find our selves having to go hand-to-hand with an enormous amount of Skitters. They are just taking all the forces and focusing them on us. Not really having to worry about beamers any more, or Mechs, because those are offline."

'Falling Skies' Season 5: Hal, Ben & Maggie Love Triangle Gets A Fourth Member, Drew Roy Explains

A little good old fashion Skitter battle should make Pope a happy camper, for once, but the rest of the 2 nd Mass probably won't be too pleased with the situation. Weaver's forces were decimated throughout season 4, and only a small contingency of fighters will be able to stand against the tide of six-legged monsters.
