LeAnn Rimes Rehab on Katie Couric: 'I'm Not Going to Cry' Watch as Singer Breaks Down In Front of the Cameras [VIDEO]
LeAnn Rimes burst into tears on Katie Couric's talk show "Katie" when she opened up about her struggles that eventually forced her to seek rehab two months ago.
In a preview of the show to be aired Thursday, Rimes, 30 is seen crying as she opens up about people's opinions about her personal life.
"You just completed a 30-day voluntary program which sparked a lot of rumors that you had an eating disorder, an addiction problem. Why did you seek treatment?" Couric asks the singer.
"People look at you and go 'Why are you struggling?' You know, they can't quite understand why you're hurt so badly," Rimes answers as she is overwhelmed by the emotions and starts to cry in front of the cameras.
In the interview Rimes speaks honestly about her childhood, her career and all the tabloid rumors surrounding her marriage to Eddie Cibrian and her relationship with his ex-wife Brandi Glanville.
Rimes entered a 30 day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress on August 29, a day after her 30th birthday. Her rep said she was there "to learn and develop coping mechanisms."
At the time,Cibrian showed his support for her.
"My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know," Cibrian said. "I am so proud of her for having the strength to finally take some time for herself. I will be with her every step of the way."
However, soon after Rimes entered rehab reports surfaced that the reason behind her breakdown had to do with Cibrian cheating on her.
Radar Online reported that Rimes had called a friend of hers sobbing hysterically about "Eddie going out."
"She was home for the weekend and he didn't stay in with her and she was crying saying that she was so worried about what he was doing when he wasn't with her," a source told Radar Online.
Rimes met Cibrian, 39, on the set of "Northern Lights" when they were married to other people. An affair ensued, between the her and the actor and they both filed from divorce from their spouses so they can be together.
Rimes filed for divorce in July, 2009, from choreographer Dean Sheremet and Cibrian filed a month later from Glanville after eight years of marriage.
