After months of speculation, the DC comic book adaptation has officially received the ax from NBC. John (Matt Ryan) and his trench coat may live to fight another day, however.
"NBC a "no" for Season 2," executive producer Daniel Cerone tweeted on Friday, quickly following attempting to repair crushed hopes by announcing that Constantine may jump to another network. "Warner Bros working hard to find #Constantine new home. Stay active. Stream. Tweet. #SaveConstantine #Hellblazers."
Rumors of a move to Syfy were dismissed earlier this year, but it seems Warner Bros. isn't ready to give up on the venture. Everyone from Star Trek's William Shatner to Supernatural's Mark Sheppard have voiced their support for the series, backing the #SaveConstantine hash tag on Twitter.
Cerone later tweeted that Constantine might find a home with The CW. With Arrow and The Flash already airing, the teen-skewed network has already proved to be a safe haven for the comic book world.
