'Outlander' Series: A 'Light' At The End Of Jamie's Dark Journey, Last Moments Of Finale Teased [VIDEO]
There's a light at the end of Outlander's ever darkening journey.
The Starz series will head down a Stygian path for the final two episodes of the freshman series, showcasing events that lead Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) to realize there is a fate far worse than death. As the Scotch mist brings our hero's spirits crashing down, E! Online promises that a ray of sunshine will shepherd viewers into the summer hiatus.
"There is a much-earned light at the end of the tunnel in the last 5 minutes of the finale," the site revealed on Tuesday, allaying fears that "Wentworth Prison" and "To Ransom a Man's Soul" will leave viewers completely crushed.

To get to the happy ending, though, Jamie and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) must travel through some harrowing circumstances. For fans of the novels, the events that transpire at Wentworth Prison are no mystery. However, multiple platforms have reported that Jack Black Randall's (Tobias Menzies) impending actions will be even worse than originally penned.
"I think it will be as graphic, yes," Menzies informed E! Online, possibly referencing the scene that caused him to joke about reconsidering his role at Paley Fest. "I don't think we've ducked what Diana [Gabaldon] wrote, which is going to be some of the darkest stuff she wrote."
