'Agents of SHIELD' Season 3: What's Up With Those Fish Oil Pills? EP Teases Terrigen Crystal Problem [VIDEO]
Agents of SHIELD will have to cope with a world infused with terrigen crystals during season 3.
Skye's (Chloe Bennet) extreme mother/daughter showdown sent a caseload of the alien rocks plummeting into the ocean during "SOS: Part 2," infecting the local fish and finding it's way into drugstores' ever-popular fish oil supplements. With large portions of the Earth now at risk for some type of warped terrigenesis, Coulson's (Clarke Gregg) team could have widespread casualties on their hands.
"This was a way for us to remind people that anything can happen at any time. Anywhere in the world, this sort of thing can happen without going so far as to dropping a Terrigen bomb and turning a whole group of people at one time," executive producer Jeffery Bell explained to Entertainment Weekly. "The idea that the possibility is out there allows us a lot of story opportunities for next year. And for the audience, it teases the promise of more Inhumans next season."
