'The 100' Season 3: Uninterrupted Run Promised For Midseason? Jason Rothenberg Explains [VIDEO]
The 100 fans will have weather an extra long hiatus heading into season 3, but The CW may reward viewers with a nearly uninterrupted run.
Clarke's walkabout will take far longer than expected - the poor Arker will be left wandering until the post-apocalyptic drama returns to screens next spring. Once the Sky People and Grounders do find their way back into The CW schedule, their own midseason break will disappear.
"No reruns and no off weeks from the premier till the finale," series creator Jason Rothenberg teased on Saturday. "Or as close as we can get to that."
After a 13-episode freshman run and a 16-episode second season, The 100 is looking to produce a similar number for the third season. Filming is set to start in July, a time frame that gives the series plenty of time in post production.
Questions that will hopefully be answered in season 3 include the causes of the nuclear war 97-years prior, ALIE the AI's plans (see video below), how Lexa's coalition will stand up now that Mount Weather is no longer a threat, where Clarke went, and where Polis is actually located.
