'Hannibal' Season 3: Will Graham & Pazzi To Team Up? Episode 2 Plot Reveals Questionable Alliance
The third episode of season 3 will see the FBI profiler add another stamp to his passport as he hops from Sicily to Lithuania in order to visit Hannibal's childhood home. Titled "Secondo," the episode seems primed to introduce viewers to Lecter's aunt, Lady Murasaki, and her attendant Chiyo (Tao Okamoto).
Murasaki received more attention in the Thomas Harris' novels but the NBC series will flip the script and put Chiyo center stage. Okamoto was originally interested in the role of Murasaki, but her young looks skewed towards a very different character. Despite this, Chiyo will take on various aspects of Murasaki's character.

"It's the same story, but the character is Chiyo, who is also from the literature," series creator Bryan Fuller explained to Collider. "So, we're expanding that character and her history with Hannibal. There were a lot of things that we needed the character to do, story wise, that didn't make sense for Lady Murasaki to do. With Chiyo, we had a greater rein."
