David Letterman Sits for Interview with 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' As NYC Copes with Hurricane Sandy
David Letterman was a guest of "Jimmy KImmel Live!" on Wednesday night as New York City copes with the effects of Hurricane Sandy.
The two late night hosts sat for an interview and Kimmel took the opportunity to acknowledge infront of his guest and his audience, his great admiration for Letterman.
"I'm more excited that he's here tonight than I'm able to explain," Kimmel said while introducing Letterman.
Kimmel showed Letterman pictures of his Late Night birthday cake and his first car with a plate reading "L8 Night."
In January, Kimmel and Letterman will be direct competitors as ABC moves the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" show to the 11:35 pm slot.
"I wanna wish you the best of luck when you move the show," Letterman said Wednesday. "I think it will be exciting, I think you're going to be perfect at 11:30...I think it's going to be great, and I couldn't be happier to have you in the running," Letterman told Kimmel."
Letterman also spoke about his 9-year-old son Harry and his anti-social behavior.
"I don't know why that is," he said about being anti-social. "I don't think that at this point, and certainly not here on this show, that we're going to answer that question...I think people don't like me."
