Shepard, who played Robert Rayburn in the first season of the Netflix series, was arrested after security personnel at a local La Choza restaurant called the cops to report on his driving.
"Our officer could smell alcohol on his breath, and he had bloodshot, watery eyes," Santa Fe police lieutenant Andrea Dobyns explained to the Associated Press.

Shepard declined a breath test before ultimately failing a field sobriety test. The actor is in custody at Santa Fe County Jail.
Shepard also had some trouble with the law and alcohol prior to this as well. The 71-year-old actor pleaded guilty to drunk driving back in 2009 and he was forced to enter a rehabilitation program as well as community service.
Shepard has had a bustling career as of late in addition to Bloodline. He has also starred in such TV miniseries as Klondike and the movie August: Osage County. He has also finished production on three movies in 2015, You Were Never Here, Midnight Special and Ithaca. The actor was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in the 1983 movie The Right Stuff.
Bloodline is currently streaming on Netflix, after being released on March 20. All 13 episodes of the first season are currently available. The family drama has been renewed for a second season, to be released in 2016.
