Notre Dame vs Pitt, LIVE STREAM FREE, Watch NCAA Football @ 2:30 p.m. CT
The undefeated Notre Dame Fighting Irish (8-0) will look to continue their torrid start when they take on the Pittsburgh Panthers (4-4) in NCAA football action on Saturday afternoon at Notre Dame Stadium.
The No. 4 seeded Fighting Irish won their fourth Top 25 team matchup when they took out the powerhouse Oklahoma Sooners by a 30-13 margin last week. No other program has been as dominate against those top-tier programs as Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish held the Sooners to their fewest point total of the season, as they were previously averaging over 44 points per game.
Notre Dame compiled 215 yards out of the backfield against Oklahoma from the likes of RB's Theo Riddick and Cierre Wood, who each put up 74 yards along with two collective touchdowns. QB Everett Golson also reached the end zone once himself going 13-for-25 with 177 passing yards.
Straight off a peak offensive performance, the Pitt squad will look to outduel the Fighting Irish and their second ranked defense. The Panthers (4-4) dominated Temple in a 44-17 win that saw QB Tino Sunseri throw for 321 yards and three touchdowns. Pitt senior running back Ray Graham caught one of them and rushed for two more along with 109 yards, his second 100-yard plus game of the season.
Controversy struck the Panthers program as Graham along with two of his teammates were charged with assault earlier this week. The others were WR Devin Street and kick-returner Lafayette Pitts. However, all three will still be suiting up to play against Notre Dame.
Overall, the Fighting Irish possess a 46-20-1 lifetime record against Pitt, but their win spread has only been by a mere four points in their last four matchups.
