Twelve (Capaldi) and River (Kingston) aren't currently scheduled to meet up but, if they were to, former showrunner Russell T. Davis believes the combination of the two actors would create a "sex storm."
"I mentioned in passing to Russell that we were probably done with River. He said, 'You can't be done with River! No, no, no. Capaldi and Kingston, it's a sex storm!'" current showrunner Steven Moffat said, according to the Radio Times.

Moffat previously told fans that there would have to be an incredibly strong, story-driven reason to bring River back into the fold, but that doesn't mean a reunion between the Doctor and his wife isn't entirely out of the cards.
"I haven't been told I'm done [on the show]," Kingston said, according to Doctor Who TV.
Previously seen with both the Tenth (David Tennant) and Eleventh (Matt Smith) Doctors, Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory's (Arthur Darvill) daughter has not appeared on Doctor Who since "The Name of the Doctor."
