With the exception of Michelle, it appears the Fuller House sequel series will see every single member of the Tanner family back in action!
Have Mercy! Aunt Becky Signs On For 'Fuller House'
Hot on the heels of Lori Loughlin confirming she will make an appearance as Aunt Becky once again, Bob Saget has confirmed he will join up as the original family patriarch, Danny Tanner.
The news was confirmed via John Stamos on Twitter, who referred to it as the best bit of casting news he had received yet.
Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen Opt Out Of 'Fuller House'
"Last but not least--best piece of casting news yet. The great @bobsaget will be joining our show on @netflix--this completes the perfect reunion!" he wrote May 28. Saget then took to his own page to joke around with his co-star, pretending as if he hadn't heard such information yet on his own.
"How did you get this information? Kidding! Love you Jesse!" he wrote.
Saget is indeed the last of the original series cast members to reveal his status with the show, which will follow his character's oldest daughter DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) as she enlists the help of her younger sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and best friend Kimmy Gibler (Andrea Barber) as she tries raising her kids following the death of her husband.
The first episode of the show will be a stated reunion, with Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), Loughlin, Stamos and Saget all returning. The only members of the original main cast to opt out of the show were Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who portrayed Michelle.
There is still no confirmation on whether or not actors will be hired to replace Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit as Jesse and Becky's sons, Nicky and Alex.
