Sarah Paulson won another trophy for her performance as conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler in FX's American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Paulson won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie or Limited Series at the Critics' Choice Television Awards Sunday night. The actress had the difficult role of playing both Bette and Dot in AHS: Freak Show.

She was nominated against Khandi Alexander and Mo'Nique from HBO's Bessie, Claire Foy from PBS's Wolf Hall, Janet McTeer from Sundance's The Honorable Woman and Cynthia Nixon from Lifetime's Stockholm, Pennsylvania.

This was actually the second award Paulson has won with the critics, previously winning for playing Lana Winters in American Horror Story: Asylum.

It is also the second award she's won for her performance in Freak Show. She won the equivalent Supporting Actress award at the Satellite Awards earlier this year.

With Paulson gaining traction, it is possible that she will translate these wins into an Emmy Award in September. The actress has been nominated for the past three years at the Emmys. She received a nomination for the HBO film Game Change in 2012 followed by a nomination for American Horror Story: Asylum, followed by a nomination for American Horror Story: Coven.

While her performance as Lana Winters is perhaps her most beloved, playing Dot and Bette in Freak Show was certainly her most challenging. Since she fully showed her capabilities as an actress in this season, it seems somewhat likely that the Emmys will finally give her a trophy this year. However, with the Emmys, anything is possible.

Paulson will also be back for American Horror Story: Hotel in October.
