Shadowhunters is ready to come out of, well, the shadows.
Shadowhunters' TV Show: Hodge Starkweather Cast, Who Snagged The Role?
ABC Family's adaptation of the Mortal Instruments novels is already filming for its 2016 release, and the cast recently took to Twitter to show odd their new roles. From Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara) to Jace Wayland (Dominic Sherewood), the characters are looking particularly badass (scroll through the photos below).
For those who are unfamiliar with Cassandra Clare's YA adventures, the series follows the story of Clary as she passes her 18th birthday only to discover that her family tree is peppered with Shadowhunters, angel/human hybrids responsible for hunting demons. Clary comes to this astonishing revelation when her mother, Jocelyn (Maxim Roy), is kidnapped, throwing her into an entirely new world with Jace, a fellow Shadowhunter.
Originally introduced in 2013's feature film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Clare's characters will get a reboot on ABC Family, a decision that required recasting all the previously seen parts. The new ensemble will be comprised of McNamara, Sherewood, Alberto Rosende as Simon, Isabelle Lightwood as Emeraude Toubia, Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Alan Van Sprang as Valentine Morgenstern, and Jon Cor as Hodge Starkweather.
