The Arks top mechanics ended season 2 on a rather complicated note, and series creator Jason Rothenberg recently mapped out just what was going through the pair's minds as they made for Mount Weather.

"Here's the deal: Raven has intimacy issues. Things w/ Wick got too real, so she pulled back. Nothing to do with sex," Rothenberg informed viewers, referencing Raven and Wick's post-hook up problems.

While many fans may have believed the pair had a casual roll in the hay, it appears that is not quite how either of the characters viewed the situation.

"You can, of course, interpret it for yourself, but, to us, it wasn't casual," Rothenberg said. "Raven felt something & it scared her."

As Raven (Lindsey Morgan) pulled back, Wick (Steve Talley) had to reevaluate the situation.

"[Wick] just wanted a real relationship. If she wasn't ready, he was out," Rothenberg stated, adding that the blond-haired engineer wasn't trying to shame Raven for her choices.
