'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6: Viewers' 'Frustration' Prompts 'A' Reveal, Marlene King Explains Decision To End Mystery [VIDEO]
Frustrated fans are the reason behind Pretty Little Liars rush to the finish line.
For five seasons, the Liars have battle major twists and unsettling turns in their efforts to close the book on 'A' once and for all. With one little 'A' already felled way back in season 2, the start of the sixth seasons heralds the long anticipated end of Uber 'A.'
As Emily, Hanna, Aria, and Spencer spend the next nine episodes in hot pursuit of Charles DiLaurentis, series creator Marlene King notes that the decision to unmask 'A' comes now that viewers have had enough of the series' games.
"Midway through Season 5, I sensed a wave of frustration that I hadn't sensed since midway through Season 2 when we knew it was time to give up Mona," King informed Buzzfeed. "The fans were very vocal that they were getting too frustrated."
This doesn't mean that the Liars' adventures are over, however. The ABC Family series was renewed through season 7, and the 'A' mystery will undoubtedly have lasting repercussions as the Rosewood teens enter adulthood with a five-year time jump.
