The Pretty Little Liars won't be feeling particularly festive this year.

'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6: Viewers' 'Frustration' Prompts 'A' Reveal, Marlene King Explains Decision To End Mystery

Stow you're carefully carved pumpkins and boughs of holly - the ABC Family drama will not air a Halloween or Christmas special during season 6.

For the last four years, the Rosewood teens have punctuated the fall hiatus with a holiday themed episode, but Bustle revealed that this tradition will come to an end (or at least take a break) this fall.

'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6: The Actor Behind 'A' Is In The Know, Marlene King's Cryptic Tweet Decoded

The decision comes as no surprise, however. Pretty Little Liars will conclude its summer run with A's unmasking in "Game Over, Charles," and the winter season will open with a four to five year time jump. Sticking an extra episode in between these two major events would be awkward, not to mention anticlimactic.

However, this announcement doesn't necessarily preclude another cast special a la season 5's "We Love You To DeAth." The impending 'A' reveal will undoubtedly leave fans talking and it would be interesting to hear what the series' actresses have to say about their conclusion of their characters' high school journeys.

In the mean time, find out what's next for the Rosewood teens when Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family. Click the video below to see a preview for the series' next episode, "Songs of Innocence."
