'Bones' Season 10 News: Pelant Copycat Killer Wreaking Havoc In Upcoming Finale? [VIDEO]
Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Booth (David Boreanaz) and the gang just can't get away from Pelant (Andrew Leeds) on Fox's Bones.
'Bones' Producer Okay With Fans Being Upset About New Brennan/Booth Arc?
While Pelant isn't necessarily back on Bones, the Jeffersonian team is set to investigate a case very similar to the serial killer's. Fox has released a plot synopsis for the season 10 finale of Bones, which airs Thursday and centers on a potential protégé to Pelant.
"When the Jeffersonian team discovers remains of a victim, and elements of the crime scene point to a possible protégé of serial killer Christopher Pelant, they must revisit their prior work on Pelant while tracing new clues that will hopefully lead them to the copycat killer," the synopsis reads. "Meanwhile, Angela [Michaela Conlin] is skeptical about her and Hodgins [T.J. Thyne] decision to move to Paris and Brennan and Booth contemplate options outside of the Jeffersonian and FBI."
'Bones' Star Emily Deschanel Talks 'Strong Possibility' Of Season 11 Renewal
Many fans were not thrilled about the Pelant storyline when it was brought back in season 9 so it will be interesting to see how the show tackles a copycat killer.
Meanwhile, the show is currently embroiled in a controversial storyline involving Brennan and Booth's relationship struggles. While this isn't exactly a fun arc for the show's longtime fans, Bones show runner Stephen Nathan recently spoke with TVLine on why it is necessary.
"It's incumbent upon us to shake [the story] up," he said. "We started to do that at the end of Season 10, and it'll continue into Season 11."
Bones airs its season 10 finale on Thursday, June 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
