Under the temporary post of Bernie Bickerstaff, the Los Angeles Lakers (2-4) will look to rack up another win when they take on the Sacramento Kings (2-4). Bickerstaff is currently filling in at head coach for the terminated Mike Brown's future replacement, in which chances are will be a returning Phil Jackson.

Both of the teams currently sit at the bottom of the Western Conference standings along with the Portland Trail Blazers (2-4). In their last matchup during the preseason, the Kings prevailed against the Lakers by a 94-82 margin.

Acquired during the offseason from the Orlando Magic, Dwight Howard still continues to find his on-court bearings after undergoing back surgery. Despite an admitted slow start, the star is still averaging 19.7 ppg along with 9.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.

According to the Lakers' official site, Howard spoke about the team's transition amid their overall struggles in the early-going of the NBA season.

"It was sad to see Mike go, but we just got to keep moving forward. We have to stay together. It's early in the season, and we're still trying to learn each other's game. Expectations are very high for this team. Management did what it had to do. It's on us to try to get better every day and continue to play hard and string some wins together," he said.

Lining up against Howard will be DeMarcus Cousins, who is one of the NBA's best young talents. On the year, Cousins is at 17.3 ppg, 9.8 boards and two steals a game. However, he does sport a lowly 42.6 percent field-goal percentage.
