'Outlander' Series: Jamie's Ex-Lover Cast For Season 2, Does Claire Have Competition (Again)?
Tossed from post-war Scotland into the 18th century, Claire spent the freshman season proving her adaptability. Now, the nurse will have to reconfigure her world once again as she works to stop the Jacobite Rising. Unlike Jamie, however, Claire won't be returning to her old stomping grounds.
"In a lot of ways, [Parisian society] is more familiar to him in certain ways than you would anticipate, because he is a laird in his own life, and he has lived in France, and he speaks the French language. It is a somewhat familiar culture to him," showrunner Rob Moore explained, according to TV Line. "Claire also speaks French, and she's adapting in a different way, but she still struggles with the roles woman in these times, even in French society."
Claire will also be preparing for a role she never imagined she would play. Motherhood is on the horizon, and the mom-to-be will undoubtedly have her hands full preparing to raise her child in an alien landscape.
