The CW drama torpedoed the Sky People/Grounder alliance at the gates of Mount Weather, but that doesn't mean the two groups will have the luxury of avoiding each other. Although post-apocalyptic Earth is a sparsely populated place, the Arkers seemed to crash land in the middle of rejuvenating populace, one that's complete with it's own complicated set of traditions.
"We're going to dig so deep into the Grounder culture this year," showrunner Jason Rothenberg teased. "You guys are going to love it. It's amazing. It's actually one of my favorite parts of the show, world building and such."

With the promise of Polis, the Grounder capital, looming on the horizon, it sounds like reveals will come fast and steady in season 3. From tattoo ink to the Ice Nation, Rothenberg promises that there will be plenty of new info coming your way.
A map of the world will even be revealed in the premiere, although it is uncertain if this is some sort of Grounder map or if it is from the City of Light bachelor pad Murphy stumbled upon in the "Blood Must Have Blood: Part 2" (see video below).
"Well I think we're going to see a map of the world in episode 1, a pretty detailed one," Rothenberg explained.
