'American Horror Story' Cast 2015: Jessica Lange Offers Her Thoughts On Lady Gaga Starring In 'Hotel'
Jessica Lange is confident that Lady Gaga will fit in just fine on FX's American Horror Story.
Is Lady Gaga 'Perfect Casting' For 'American Horror Story' Season 5?
As Lange exits American Horror Story, Gaga enters to preserve the star power. Lange recently spoke with The Daily Beast about leaving American Horror Story and her thoughts on Gaga's casting.
The legendary actress isn't familiar with what they have planned for season 5, titled Hotel, though she is confident that Gaga and the rest of the cast and crew will put out a good product.
"She'll be surrounded by all those great actors," Lange said, of Gaga. "The same ones I had the great opportunity to work with. I have no idea if she's an actor or not. But I'm sure it will all work out. I don't know what the season is, what they're doing, what the premise is, who the characters are. But all I can say is she's going to have good writing and she's going to have great actors to work with. It's a good start."
Lange will miss working on American Horror Story, a show she starred in for four seasons. Funnily enough, she had original only planned to do the first season, Murder House.
"I'll miss it, but I think in some way I had never intended to do more than one season, and then reconsidered and decided to do three more. But, you know, I felt like I had come to the end of it," she admitted. "I'd love to work with Ryan again sometime on a different project. I loved the characters that I played. Especially, like I said, this last season. It was an extraordinary experience."
Lange's work on American Horror Story was an introduction to a whole new group of young fans who may not have known about her previously. She received much critical acclaim and garnered two Emmys for her work.
American Horror Story: Hotel premieres in October on FX.
