Steve McGarrett's (Alex O'Loughlin) team has tracked down legendary stolen artifacts and unearthed millions in burrried bills, but this is the first time the crime fighters will embark on an actual x-marks-the-spot search for gold...and it will happen in the premiere.
Set to open with a high seas flashback to the 19th century, season 6's inaugural episode will try to separate fact from fiction when it comes to Hawaii's pirate past.
"It took a lot of research to find this account, and funny enough it was discovered after I had started to develop the story," showrunner Peter Lenkov informed Entertainment Weekly. "In the premiere, we will tell whether the story was true of not."
Of course, the only way to really debunk the naysayers is to dig up the (allegedly) missing booty. Don't worry, Five-0's latest mystery won't get in the way of Kono (Grace Park) & Adam's (Ian Anthony Dale) reception, although it may play into their nightmarish honeymoon.
