His sister Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has already stirred up quite a bit of drama since her return to Los Angeles on The Bold and the Beautiful, and now, Thomas Forrester will officially be joining his sister back at the family company.

The role, most recently occupied by Adam Gregory until 2014, has officially been recast, and actor Pierson Fode will be debuting as Thomas later this summer-and Fode is extremely excited about taking on the character.

"It's a life-changer and I am really excited about it," he told Soap Opera Digest.

Fode, who admitted to having auditioned with Linsey Godfrey, who portrays Caroline Spencer, also posted a photo from his first day on set on his Facebook page.

When the character of Thomas was last seen on the show, his grandfather, Eric (John McCook) had decided that his son, Rick (Jacob Young) would do a better job serving as President of the company better than Thomas or Rick's brother, Thorne (Winsor Harmon). Afterwards, Thomas headed for the International offices.

The L.A. offices also saw recent upheaval that saw Rick being ousted as CEO, with Thomas's father, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) taking over in the role, with Steffy filling in as President and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) taking over as Vice-President. It is unclear if Thomas's return will cause more boardroom drama.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
