The latest adaptation of Cassandra Clare's novels will bring New York City's supernatural underground to television screens next year, and director McG recently warned viewers that heartbreak will come blended in with Clary Fray's nephilim adventure.
"Gonna kill it on Shadowhunters tomorrow. The fandom deserves the best.Your Father has spoken," McG tweeted on Monday. "Expect Game of Thrones level heartbreak. No one is safe. Who will get it...pain awaits. Kneel before Zod @ShadowhuntersTV @TMI_Institute."

It appears death is in the air as production rolls forward.
Shadowhunters will open with the events of Clare's City of Bones. A seemingly typical teenager, Clary will come to realize that she is actually a half-angel/half-human demon hunter. Although Clary's mother tried to keep her away from the magical world, her own kidnapping will force her daughter to team up with her friend Simon and fellow shadowhunter Jace in order to recover the Mortal Cup.
