The cast and crew of Longmire have indeed wrapped up production on the fourth season. The episodes are now in post-production as the producers prepare for Netflix to release them in the fall.
Longmire has been through quite a year. Close to a year ago, the Western drama was canceled by A&E after three seasons, despite being the no. 1 scripted show on the network. Producers desperately searched for another home for the show as diehard fans launched an epic Twitter campaign.
The campaign worked as Netflix swooped in back in November. They picked the show up and greenlit a 10-episode fourth season. Cast and crew have been filming in New Mexico over the past few months.
Longmire season 4 is expected to be released in the fall on Netflix, though the streaming site has not yet announced a specific release date.
