The Aloha State is safe from stolen nukes (for the moment), and the lull in terrorist activity will allow Steve McGarrett's (Alex O'Loughlin) task force to deal with more pressing matters - a missing pirate treasure.
Titled "Mai ho'oni I ka wai lana málie," according to Spoiler TV, the Sept. 25 episode will open with a flashback to the 1800s, which will set the stage for and X-marks-the-spot mystery that is based in part on real island lore.
"It took a lot of research to find this account, and funny enough it was discovered after I had started to develop the story," showrunner Peter Lenkov informed Entertainment Weekly. "In the premiere, we will tell whether the story was true of not."
Don't worry, though, Lenkov will quickly bring the story back to the present. The CBS drama skipped out in the middle of Kono (Grace Park) and Adam's (Ian Anthony Dale) wedding (rude), but the newlyweds will have their first dance as soon as the pirates move off screen.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Waincroft (Christopher Sean) will start to make his villainous presence known.
Hawaii Five-0 will return to CBS on Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
