Dark Matter is intent on bringing new names to Syfy, but that doesn't mean they will eschew the genre's fan favorites. Torri Higginson joined the cast in episode 2 as Commander Delaney Truffault, and, over the next seven episodes, Dark Matter will also play host to Wil Wheaton (Eureka) and David Hewlett (Stargate Atlantis).
It is unknown if Higginson will return, but it would make sense considering the comic-book adaptation is slowly starting to add more recurring characters as One, Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six start to puzzle out their murky pasts, Hewlett will appear as Talbor Calchek in three episodes while Wheaton's role is currently unknown.
For those unfamiliar with the world of SciFi, Ruby Rose is expected to act as your gateway drug to the series. Set to play an android in episode 7, the character's sunny disposition and sexy nature will lure the crew into a false sense of safety. The Australian recently made waves in Orange Is The New Black, and it's safe to say Dark Matter is planning on utilizing her skills to the max.
Dark Matter airs Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on Syfy. Watch the teaser below to get a taste for the new series.
