‘NCIS’ Season 13 News: Michael Weatherly Recently Tweeted He Read The ‘Premiere Episode’ Script [PHOTO, VIDEO]
NCIS will begin filming its 13th season very soon!
Will Gibbs Survive His Gun Shot Wounds & Be Part Of 'NCIS' Season 13?
Last month Michael Weatherly tweeted about needing to slim down for the series.
With that tweet also came the clue that he had about "a month" of his hiatus from set left and that was on June 16.
Is 'NCIS' Heading To Montenegro?
With that in mind, the cast and crew of the CBS crime show will be reporting relatively soon especially if the cast has received the script for the first episode of the season.
Weatherly portrays Tony DiNozzo on the show and appears to have "digested" the "premiere episode" script even though he's still on vacation with his family since that's what he chose to do with his hiatus.
On Thursday the newly 47-year-old shared a photo of himself lying in bed with his "reading glasses" in hand as he shared the information about reading the first episode's script for the new season.
A lot happened in the finale of season 12 so color us intrigued about how the first episode of season 13 will play out. Viewers already know the episode will pick up where season 12 left off, which means they'll probably find out quickly the status of Gibbs' (Mark Harmon) health.
Plus, Weatherly's character "will take the lead" in the case since he was talking to the terrorist leader Daniel Budd (Giles Matthey) as Gibbs was attacked from what executive producer/showrunner Gary Glasberg told FOX411 in May.
So if the script has been "digested" and Weatherly doesn't look distraught is it safe to assume Gibbs will in fact live?
NCIS returns to CBS in the fall on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
