The ABC comic book series swung by San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, and executive producer Michele Fazekas spilled on which baddies will torment the SSR when Agent Carter takes on Hollywood.
"The antagonist, I would say, exists in the Marvel comic universe - a version of it. There's even a group called the Secret Empire that also exists," Fazekas said. "I can also tell you - this is somewhat of a spoiler - but there is a thing called Darkforce. They are from the comic book universe. Blackout from Agents of SHIELD, he was sort of created by them. Darkforce sort of created a lot of people. It comes out of the Doctor Strange universe, as well. So, that's going to show up and cause problems."
Just as Peggy (Hayley Atwell) threw away the super soldier serum and packed in her feelings for Steve Rogers, it appears the narrative is veering away from WWII's Hydra storyline. As Agents of SHIELD seeks to connect to Captain America: Civil War and Inhumans, Agent Carter will apparently familiarize viewers with Marvel's version of alternate dimension negative energy ahead of Doctor Strange's 2016 debut.
