‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chelsea Experiences ‘A Lot Of Emotions Going On At Once’ Upon Gabriel Revealing He’s Adam? [VIDEO]
Last week The Young and the Restless YouTube channel released a teaser video, which teased this week's episodes as well as what will go down in Genoa City during the episode airing on July 13.
Will Cane & Lauren End Up Together On 'The Young and the Restless'?
It seems like Gabriel Bingham (Justin Hartley) will be no more. The truth is about to slip out that Gabriel is really Adam Newman (also portrayed by Hartley).
On Wednesday, TV Insider shared some insight on the big identity reveal straight from Hartley and his onscreen lover Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
'The Young and the Restless' Will Soon Drop An Identity Revealing Bomb!
Gabriel will unintentionally reveal some baffling news without initially realizing Chelsea is nearby. He is going to be so hyped up that he's now running Newman-Abbott and he just had sex with Chelsea in the office where a portrait of Victor (Eric Braeden) hangs.
He'll blurt out to the portrait that he is good enough, which is what Chelsea will hear, which will shock and confuse her. Why would Gabriel want or need Victor's approval? Well, he's really Adam, Victor's son, that's why.
So Gabriel will be caught and he'll be honest with Chelsea since "his love for her" is so strong.
"And the only way to fix it is to come clean," Egan explained.
How will Egan's character react to the reveal? Well, according to Hartley "she freaks out like a psycho!"
"At first she's confused. 'Why would you say something like that?' There are a lot of emotions going on at once-so much shock and confusion-and then she goes on the defensive. 'No! You can't be Adam. I don't believe you. They found the body!'" Egan dished.
This episode is going to be emotionally draining.
Chelsea is going to "agree to keep quiet" about knowing who Gabriel really is, but it's likely things will eventually unravel since this is a soap opera.
The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
