'Married To Medicine' Cast: Lisa Nicole Cloud Denies Changing Background Check Story
Lisa Nicole Cloud has shut down speculation that she changed her story when it comes to why she gave her Married To Medicine co-star Quad Webb-Lunceford a background check.
She took to Twitter to confront a story we reported Friday that said she switched the reason why she wanted to do a background check on Quad.
The whole ordeal between Lisa and Quad has become a center story line for the new season of the Bravo series. It all began when Lisa did a background check on Webb without her knowing. Quad, in retaliation, hired a private investigator to look into Lisa’s past as well.

On the third season opener that recently aired, Lisa told Quad and her co-stars that she did the background check because she was going to invest into Quad’s business. When she and Quad had a one-on-one conversation a couple of episodes after that, Quad revealed that she never asked Lisa to invest in her business. Still, Lisa said that she was considering it, so she still wanted to know who she was getting into business with.
Looking at her interview with The Jasmine Brand that Lisa did the day after her and Quad’s altercation got physical, Lisa simply said that it was “a business decision.”
Still, she told Talking With Tami after the incident aired last week that she also did background checks on other cast members because she wanted to know more about the ladies before becoming a part of the show. But Quad was the only one who seemed to have an issue with it.
“Reality TV is a business. As I’ve always said, it was never personal it was a business decision. I did a background check on three of the cast mates because I didn’t know them from a can of paint and I wanted to see who I was on a show with. I have never revealed anything that I’ve learned either, it was just for my own personal knowledge.
"The other cast mates didn’t care. We know it’s part of being on TV that your life is an open book. I apologize to them if they were offended and we all moved on except for Quad who wanted this to be a controversial storyline this season. While you didn’t see it on camera because of editing an apology was given many times. It’s business at the end of the day and I have apologies and what is done is done and all I can do is apologize and move forward in a positive and productive way.”
She also spoke with Bossip last week and said she did the background check on Quad for “a number of reasons” stating that she wanted to get to know Quad as a co-star and a possible investment.
Heavenly Kimes, who joined the cast last season with Lisa, also confirmed via her Bravo blog that Lisa did a background check on her as well as former co-star Mariah Huq.
Something that is consistent is that Lisa saw the background check as a business decision and that she didn’t do it maliciously.
