'American Horror Story: Hotel' Plot: Sarah Paulson 'Borrowing' Moves From Jessica Lange In Season 5?
Sarah Paulson is drawing inspiration from Jessica Lange as she prepares for her new role in FX's American Horror Story season 5.
Paulson, who will play a villainous character in American Horror Story: Hotel, the upcoming fifth season, attended Comic-Con over the weekend with many of her costars. While there she spoke with Entertainment Weekly alongside Angela Bassett and Matt Bomer and teased that she'll be using some Lange moves in her performance.
"I think what I'm going to do is try to bring Jessica Lange to the show without her being here by just borrowing all her moves," Paulson said.
Lange officially left American Horror Story after four seasons and received heaps of acclaim from critics and audiences alike. The veteran actress usually played villains on the series, while this will be the first time Paulson is playing a villain. Paulson will play a character named Hypodermic Sally, which she later revealed at the AHS Comic-Con panel.
Meanwhile, Bomer said he's "incredibly excited and scared" to begin work on AHS: Hotel, with this being his first full season with the show. He previously guest starred for one episode in AHS: Freak Show. The actor will be playing a character named Donovan in Hotel. He is said to be involved in a love triangle with Lady Gaga's character and Finn Wittrock's character.
Paulson, Bomer and Bassett are all excited for Hotel, with Paulson noting that's it's going to be "a doozy of a season."
More details will likely be announced in the weeks to come as production begins.
American Horror Story: Hotel premieres in October on FX.
