'The Blacklist' Season 3: Liz Is Tom's Only 'Normal' Relationship, Ryan Eggold Dishes On Lingering Feelings [VIDEO]
Tom and Liz Keen's tumultuous relationship won't fade into the background as The Blacklist kicks off its third season.
From love to hate and back to love, Liz (Megan Boone) and Tom (Ryan Eggold) have had certainly their ups and downs over the last two years. Now that the former profiler is on the run form the FBI, her ex-husband will continue to explore his true feelings for her.
"Yes, he does have feelings for Liz, feelings he probably doesn't fully understand," Eggold told Bello Magazine. "She's the closest thing he ever had to normalcy. No family, no love, no honest relationships, then he fakes one for two years, and it's the closest point of reference he has to a real experience. And it kinda feels good, you know?"
Does that mean that the chameleon criminal will extend a helping hand as Liz attempts to evade the FBI? Eggold didn't reveal any details, but Boone has promised that the entire series will take on a new feel this fall.
"Season 3 is going to be the same characters but a different show, a very different dynamic," Boone explained, according to TV Guide. "Because now Liz Keen is no longer working within the law."
Fans of Mrs. and Mr. Keen can catch up with The Blacklist when it returns to NBC this fall.
