'True Detective' Season 2 Spoilers: Was Episode Four Shootout Deadliest In History? [VIDEO]
It's been days since the fourth episode of True Detective ended with an epic shootout that only saw the three main detectives get out of it alive, and fans are still talking about the massacre that seemed to eliminate the entire local police force and a large portion of Vinci's population.

Not only are fans still picking their jaws up from the floor after watching the massacre, but some have taken to the internet to share their theories about what it would mean for the rest of the season.
However, one fan has put forth a different question about the shoot-out--asking just how deadly it was.
In a post on Reddit, a user broke down the entire scene shot by shot, and noted how ill-prepared the group of officers-consisting of four uniformed officers, five detectives and one plain clothes cop was--and pondered if the shoot-out was actually one of the deadliest in history when related to actually real-life shootings of a similar caliber.
"This is by all accounts a bloodbath. There are high officer, suspect, and civilian casualties," the poster wrote. "...I totalled up all on screen casualties and used information on shot placement and responsiveness later in the scene to determine how many are dead."
Overall, at least 15 on-screen deaths were counted between those in law enforcement, those in Amarilla's gang, and civilians who all suffered gunshots.
True Detective airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.
