Citizen Z will be in a tight spot when Z Nation's second season hits screens.

'Z Nation' Season 2: New Episode Title Revealed, Teases Murphy's Unborn Child?

Simon Cruller (DJ Qualls) will not be able to shrug off the impending nuclear attack. Stationed at the Northern Light NSA listening post, Cruller will survive the initial blast but will be thrown out into the brutal Arctic Circle when the vital station is destroyed. Citizen Z will no longer able to monitor Operation Bitemark, meaning the western bound crew will lose their eye in the sky.

"There's been a bunch of nukes activated, the missile defense system," Qualls told EnStars at San Diego Comic-Con. "It affects me directly more than anything that's ever happened in the show at this point because my enclosure is destroyed. So I have no more safety and there's no communication between the group. Even when things were falling apart at the end of the season, I at least had an eye on Murphy. Now I can't find him and I can't find them. We're all thrown into chaos."

With no way to hide from the Zs, Cruller will have to become a zombie slayer in his own right.

"The stakes are higher than they've ever been," Qualls teased.

Catch up with Citizen Z and Operation Bitemark when Z Nation returns this September.
