Finn Wittrock is busy celebrating his Emmy nomination for FX's American Horror Story: Freak Show, but he also took time to preview his new character in the upcoming season of the show.

Wittrock scored an Emmy nomination on Thursday for his role of Dandy Mott in AHS: Freak Show. The actor is also nominated with his co-star Denis O'Hare, who played Stanley.

The actor spoke with Deadline after his big nomination and discussed the type of character he will play in American Horror Story: Hotel, the upcoming fifth season.

Wittrock said his character "is not a good guy by any means, but a very different person" from Dandy, the psychopathic man-child.

One of the more interesting dynamics to watch will be between his character and Matt Bomer's character. The two actors shared the screen in one episode of Freak Show, in which Dandy viciously murdered Bomer's character Andy. Now, Bomer might be getting his revenge in Hotel.

"There might be some payback, specifically in terms of what Dandy did to Matt's character on Freak Show - Dandy dismembered him. So Matt and I may or may not go head to head over Lady Gaga. She has that affect on you," Wittrock said.

AHS boss Ryan Murphy recently tweeted that Bomer, Wittrock and Lady Gaga's characters would be in a love triangle of sorts.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.

The Emmys will take place Sunday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
