Castle star Stana Katic recently tweeted a sweet message to her co-stars ahead of the start of production on season 8.

Katic, who plays Kate Beckett on the crime procedural, tweeted some kind words to her co-stars on Wednesday.

The tweet was favorited and retweeted by thousands of Katic's followers. It seems that Katic will be joining her co-stars at a later date as production begins on season 8.
Katic recently opened up and answered some questions from her followers regarding season 8.
When asked to tease something about season 8, she replied on Twitter:
"I don't know enough about it 2tease. Just happy @AlexiHawley & @OldManWinter14 are @ the helm & trust their vision I love her & love working with her," referring to new show runners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter.
With speculation running wild that Beckett might become the new captain or officially run for state senate, Katic suggested that she doesn't mind which road she travels down.
"Whatever the bard decides. #EmbracingMyFuture", she wrote when asked about Beckett's future.
Katic was also asked to respond to the sudden departure of Penny Johnson Jerald, who played Captain Gates and was removed from the cast ahead of season 8.
"She's a wonderful actress & gr8 human.Looking forward to our next time 2gether", Katic wrote, of Jerald. She also included a broken heart emoji, signifying that she's sad about Jerald leaving.
Castle season 8 premieres Monday, Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
