'Outlander' Season 2: Too Much 'Pressure' 'Tests' Claire & Jamie's Relationship? Sam Heughan Explains [VIDEO]
The City of Love will have a hard time working its wiles on Outlander's Claire and Jamie.
The Starz series will head across the English Channel in season 2, but 18th century Paris is hardly the romantic hot spot 21st century couples have come to know and love. Instead, the French capital will play host to a rough spot in the newlyweds' relationship.
From the memory torture to the looming fears of parenthood, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) will have plenty of hurdles to overcome in the series' sophomore run.
"[Black Jack] affected their relationship very much," Heughan explained to TV Goodness at San Diego Comic-Con, illuminating the couple's impending problems. "Also there's the fact that Claire's now pregnant and they're going to be parents. [It's] adding a lot of pressure to their relationship. They've got a lot to get over with and it certainly tests their relationship and friendship."
Not to mention the whole reason they went to Paris in the first place - to help quell the Jacobite Rising before the Scottish way of life is squelched. Claire and Jamie will certainly have their hands full.
