Kimiko Glenn is hoping her Orange Is the New Black character will get some friends in the fourth season.

Will 'Orange Is the New Black' Star Uzo Aduba Win Her Second Consecutive Emmy?

Glenn, who plays Brook Soso in Orange Is the New Black, recently spoke with Buzzfeed about her arc in season 3. Soso had quite a season, as she came to the realization that she had no friends, gradually falling into a deep depression.

She eventually took a handful of pills to kill herself, but Poussey (Samira Wiley) saved her at the last minute.

"Hopefully, that means I'm safe for a little bit - because they tried to kill me off and didn't," Glenn said.

The actress is hopeful that Soso will finally get some friends in the prison, starting with Poussey.

"I hope she gets friends," she said, laughing. "It'd be really nice to have just a conversation with someone without having someone bite her head off - because I don't think she's actually been able to really just talk with someone normally."

But ultimately, Glenn is just hopeful that Soso will continue to be herself in season 4, at least as far as sticking up for her beliefs.

"There are a lot of things I like about her. I think she really tries to stick to her guns and what she believes in ... and I admire that she actually speaks her mind unabashedly," Glenn said. "I think experiences like that can really shape you and help you grow, but sometimes it can really harden you. And I think that I would hope for someone like her to continue being herself."

Orange Is the New Black is currently streaming all three seasons on Netflix. Season 4 will be released in the summer of 2016.
