'Supernatural' Season 11: Castiel's Guard Dog Spell Worse Than Mark Of Cain; Misha Collins Teases Long-Lasting Effects [VIDEO}
Supernatural's Castiel will have a rough start to season 11. If you though Mark of Cain Dean was bad, you clearly haven't seen a angel under the guard dog spell.
Misha Collins' heavenly warrior was whammied by Rowena (Ruth Connell) as season 10 came to a close, leaving him with blood-shot eyes, ragged breath, and an unquenchable desire to rip Crowley (Mark Sheppard) limb from limb. Unfortunately for Cas, nothing will have changed when season 11 opens.
In fact, the angel will be under Rowena's spell for longer than anyone would have imagined.
"It is going to last a while, yes. He will be coping with it for some time. The curse has not been lifted," Collins teased at San Diego Comic-Con, according to Flicks and the City. "So the spell is defiantly having a profound impact on him. It's maybe even akin to...I think it's more pronounced than the Mark of Cain was for Dean. He's not himself to say the least."
No one knows exactly how long Cas will be out of commission, but a photo from the set of episode 3 has us worried (see below). Collins posted a pic of his blood-shoot eyes in early July, and unless the angel is severely stoned, there is a good chance he will still be Rowena's puppet in "The Bad Seed."
Supernatural will return to The CW on Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. ET.
