Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful were floored when they witnessed the unexpected and shocking death of Aly Forrester, and now, following the reveal that the character did indeed get killed off the show, the actress who portrayed her is speaking out.

Ashlyn Pearce joined the show and brought an aged Aly back into the Forrester fold in the fall of 2013. In her short time back, she lost touch with reality and embraced her dark side a few times, expressing hatred for first Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Quinn (Rena Sofer), and later, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Maya (Karla Mosley), After attempting to try and kill Steffy, Aly instead lost her life when Steffy smacked her with a tire iron, and Aly died from the head trauma.

Now, Pearce has spoken up about leaving the show on social media, thanking fans for all their support and saying she felt blessed for being able to play the role.

#BoldandBeautiful fans. Thank you for all the love and support. Aly Forester was a role I feel so blessed to have been able to play. #TeamAly," she wrote on Twitter on July 23.

She followed it up with another tweet on the 24th, again thanking fans for all the tweets in the last few weeks as they watched her character officially reach the point of no return with her mental illness.

"BIg thanks to all those #boldandbeautiful fans who tweeted the hashtags #TeamAly #DarkAly & #SaveAly over the last couple of days. Love you!" she wrote.

Pearce isn't the only one who spoke out about her character's death, with her co-stars Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) and John McCook (Eric Forrester) also posing tributes to her and the work she did as the character on their own Twitter accounts.

"Haven't gotten to see B&B on air the last week, but I hope you've all enjoyed @abpearce's WONDERFUL work. I feel so proud to have known her," Clifton wrote.

"Ashlyn was a great trooper for her last few weeks of B&B! A beautiful girl wth a big uture ahead! All good thoughts!" McCook added.
