The New York Knicks (11-4) will take on the Phoenix Suns (7-10) in an early afternoon NBA showdown. Since Amare Stoudamire joined the club, the Knicks have dropped two of their last three to the Suns, but clearly are in a better position to win without him this time around.

New York will have the opportunity to improve to 7-0 at Madison Square Garden when they attempt to extend Phoenix's two-game losing streak.

Due to his constant knee problems, Stoudamire will remain on the shelf for the matchup. However, the Knicks may not need his services since they're currently off to their hottest start since winning their first nine matchups at home in the 1992-93 season. New York tied a franchise record with 60 wins during the respective season.

The Knicks improved their mark to 17-1 under coach Mike Woodson when they beat Washington by a score of 108-87 on Friday.

"The Garden is known when it's rocking as one of the toughest places to play so we want to bring that back. For us to just keep that going and protect that home court is big," Carmelo Anthony told ESPN.
