'American Horror Story' Season 5 Cast: Finn Wittrock Teases 'Homoerotica' Present In 'Hotel'
Finn Wittrock recently teased that there may be some homoerotic undertones in FX's American Horror Story: Hotel.
Wittrock, who is coming off an Emmy nomination for his role as Dandy in American Horror Story: Freak Show, spoke to People over the weekend about Hotel.
"It's going to be really insane," Wittrock said, of the new season. "In some ways, it's returning to the classic horror genre like the first season. Freak Show was more outside and sprawling, this is more tight and scary. The sex and the blood are really amped up too and outdoing themselves."
American Horror Story has never been a show to shy away from gay themes, and Hotel will be no different. Wittrock teased that his new character, a model named Tristan, will dabble a bit.
"There's a little homoerotica. My character's not gay, but he does what he's got to do to get by. That entails a few things," he teased. "There's also a few intimate moments with The Lady herself which has been a lot of fun."
Wittrock is of course alluding to Lady Gaga, who will play hotel owner Elizabeth a.k.a. The Countess in Hotel. Elizabeth, Tristan and Matt Bomer's character Donovan will be involved in a love triangle.
Speaking on working with Gaga so far, Wittrock had nothing but kind words.
"She's the real deal," he said. "Everyone's like, 'God, she's so approachable, like I can just go up to her and talk.' She's taking it very seriously as an actor. I think people are going to be very impressed."
American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
