'Survivor: Second Chance' Cast: What Does Jeff Probst Think Of Kelly Wiglesworth And Kimmi Kappenberg's Games?
How does Survivor host Jeff Probst think the two castaways from the earliest seasons are doing in their second chance season?
Kelly Wiglesworth, originally from Borneo, and Kimmi Kappenberg, originally from Australia, have largely been sidelined by the editors on Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance so far. While Kelly had a big first episode and Kimmi had significant screentime in episode 5, they have mostly been ignored in favor of other players.
However, both players made the merge in Wednesday night's episode, which means they're at least doing something right. So what does Probst think about their games thus far? The host spoke with Entertainment Weekly this week about Kelly, Kimmi and many other players.
Is There More To The Story Behind Monica Padilla's Elimination From 'Survivor'?
"Kimmi didn't last long enough the first time for any of us to really know how she would have played, and because it's been so long since then she has clearly grown as a person so we don't have much to go on," Probst said. "In many ways this is a fresh start for her. She seems to be very involved in strategy and isn't afraid to speak her mind. At this point she's surprised me in a positive way."
Meanwhile, Probst thinks Kelly is playing a more individualized game.
"Then there is Wiglesworth, the original runner-up. Kelly is playing a very specific game. She has her own set of rules, she is not influenced by pace, and rarely influenced by other opinions," he said. "It's not the kind of game I would ever play, but then again I have never played, much less made it to the end! So what do I know?"
With the castaway count continuing to decrease every week and Kelly and Kimmi still surviving, we should be seeing more of them in the weeks to come, presumably.
Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
