This season of FX's American Horror Story has introduced some colorful, original characters, but which one is your favorite?

From Constance Langdon to Lana Winters to Misty Day, American Horror Story has created some of the most compelling characters on television.

And with Hotel almost over, let's take a look back at which characters really stood out to us, and may be remembered for years to come.

The Countess (Lady Gaga)

Gaga's involvement in this season of American Horror Story was perhaps the most buzzed-about aspect heading into things. Her performance as the immortal, manipulative owner of the Hotel Cortez may be polarizing among fans, but her fashion sense and overall attitude have made her quite the presence this season.

Liz Taylor (Denis O'Hare)

O'Hare has always played roles with a defining physical characteristic, but none have been as striking and original as Liz Taylor. The transgender hotel clerk has pretty much stolen every scene she's in and become one of Hotel's most complex characters. With quippy lines and a complicated backstory, Liz has become beloved among fans.

James Patrick March (Evan Peters)

Peters is assuredly having a ball playing the sadistic hotel developer James March. His distinct '20s speech patterns and clever tongue have delighted fans just as much as Liz Taylor, giving Peters the most distinctly evil character he's played since Tate Langdon in season 1.

Sally McKenna (Sarah Paulson)

Paulson has not had as much screen time in Hotel as in past seasons, but she really makes the most of every scene she's in. Her dramatic, theatrical performance as Sally, the ghostly drug addict who haunts John Lowe (Wes Bentley), seems directly inspired by Paulson's former co-star, Jessica Lange.

Iris (Kathy Bates)

Bates did not start out Hotel in a particularly memorable way as Iris, the down-on-her-luck hotel manager. But as the season went along, Iris' layers were revealed and her chemistry with Liz Taylor has been a thrill to watch. And much like Liz, her little quips and self-deprecation have made her one of the funniest characters on the show.
