Tai Trang made a pretty bold choice in the latest episode of Survivor: Kaoh Rong.

Everything changed on last night's episode of Survivor after the big tribe swap. The castaways mostly stuck with the people they knew from their original tribes, but Tai and Anna Khait realized they were on the bottom at their new Gondol tribe.

Anna tried to throw Tai under the bus to her new tribemates, but the rest of the tribe decided that she need to go before him, since he's been such a strong provider. There was some talk among Anna and Tai to rope in Scot Pollard and go against the original Brains group by playing Tai's Idol and blindsiding Peter Baggenstos, but this did not come to pass.

In the end, Tai decided to side with the rest of his tribe in unanimously voting out Anna. Did Tai make the right choice in the end? Host Jeff Probst spoke with Entertainment Weekly after the episode and revealed his own thought process behind Tai's decision.

"Man, it's so hard to Monday morning quarterback that decision. I think my instinct would be to save Anna and hope that Julia remains tight with us and we run the numbers," Probst admitted. "But then I'd go sit in the water and think about how this game is typically played and how many times people switch alliances, and I'm pretty sure that I would decide my best bet was to hold the idol for myself, ensure MY safety and not Anna's and play it out. The fun thing about this game is we've seen players go both ways with positive and negative results, so there isn't really a right or wrong. It's about reading the other players and then ultimately just listening to your gut."

As for what's set to happen next week, Probst teased that there will be a "first" at the Tribal Council. He added a caveat that he wasn't 100 percent sure that it's a Survivor first but at the very least we can assume that it is a rare occurrence.

Survivor: Kaoh Rong - Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
