Bobbi and Hunter might be back with the Agents of SHIELD sooner than you think.

Coulson (Clark Gregg) and crew gave Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance (Nick Blood) an emotional send off during "Parting Shot," but that doesn't mean the exs won't team up with their old friends before they strike out on their own in Marvel's Most Wanted.

"We're not at liberty to say anything," Palicki told TV Line. "We go where they tell us to go!

This fall, ABC will steer them in the direction of their own spinoff alongside Dominic Fortune. Running outside the protection of SHIELD will give Hunter and Bobbi's numerous enemies a chance to exact their revenge, and Mr. Fortune will be on hand to help protect them on a quid pro quo basis.

The "two ex-spies and ex-spouses [will be] on the run with no friends, no S.H.I.E.L.D. and a long list of enemies looking to claim a bounty on their heads," Deadline reported. Even though they're on the run, the "heroes will help anyone in need, all while trying to uncover the conspiracy that put their own lives in jeopardy."

On the upside, the duo won't have to worry about chafing under any rules and regulations for the foreseeable future.

"These two characters will be thrown into a completely different dynamic," Palicki told TV Line. "It's not a world of knowing where we're going and what we're doing, being part of a team. It's us trying to figure out and navigate things, and we only have each other to rely on."
