'Survivor' 2016 News: Aubry, Cydney, Debbie, Julia & Michele Creating All-Girl Alliance? [VIDEO]
The remaining females on Survivor: Kaoh Rong may be banding together in this week's episode.
Much of the hype for the next episode of Survivor is centered on the possibility of an all-girl alliance. The CBS plot synopsis for this episode teases it outright, but it also reveals that this will lead to trouble.
"The merge creates a power struggle between the remaining members of the brawn and beauty tribes. Also, rumors of an all-girl alliance cause problems for one castaway," the synopsis reads.
The new promo for the episode also features hints of the all-girl alliance, with Cydney Gillon, Julia Sokolowski and Michele Fitzgerald gathered in the water and discussing how they need to stick together. There's also a scene with Cydney, Aubry Bracco and Debbie Wanner, where they seem to be conspiring.
Michele says in a confessional that she's ready to "make a move," while Cydney says in her own confessional, "If it backfires, oh well!" It's not entirely clear if they are talking about a plan within the all-girl alliance.
Regardless, this would be a big move that would probably change the course of the game. The prevailing plan among the Brawn and Beauty group has been to pick off the Brains one by one, and with Neal Gottlieb having to be medically evacuated last episode, it puts the Brains in an even worse position. But it's possible that with the help of Cydney, Julia and Michele, Aubry and Debbie may avoid the chopping block.
It remains to be seen who this female group would target, though. Nick Maiorano is playing both sides and has shown himself to be an Immunity threat, so he may be a target. Tai Trang is a likable presence in the game that many players probably won't want to go up against in the end. Then there's Kyle Jason and Scot Pollard, who were shown in a negative light due to their arrogance last week. As many viewers know, anything could happen on Survivor.
Survivor: Kaoh Rong - Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
