Welcome to The Flash, Griffin Grey!

It was previously rumored that the ill-fated hero would join the DC TV universe later this season, and we can now confirm Grey's (Haig Sutherland) episode 19 return. As Barry (Grant Gustin) and the STAR Labs team enjoy in a modicum of safety during Zoom's "Back to Normal" absence, the Griffin will step up to cause a little chaos.

"A meta-human with super strength named Griffin Grey mistakes Harry (Tom Cavanagh) for Earth-1 Harrison Wells and kidnaps him, demanding that Wells cure him from his current condition," The CW teased on Thursday.

Canonically, the Griffin received his powers from an explosion at Keystone Motors. A string of heroic failures and his body's rapid aging then led him down a darker path. In The Flash, Sutherland's character will presumably be a victim of the particle accelerator explosion, but it is unclear if he'll feel the need to check into a senior center anytime soon.

Barry, Cisco, and Caitlin will be at a loss when it comes to tracking the missing scientist, but the Scarlett Speedster knows just where to turn for help.

"Realizing another brilliant Wells could help track Griffin's location, Barry asks Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) to help," The CW teased. "Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) corners Joe (Jesse L. Martin) about The Flash."

The last time we saw Jesse Quick, she was boarding a bus for Opal City. Harry search for her to no avail, but it sounds as if someone at STAR Labs will be able to bring her in.

As for Wally, well, its safe to say he won't be happy if he finds out his new family is keeping Central City's biggest secret from him.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. Click the video below to see a preview for the series' next episode "Versus Zoom."
